Textreme Micro Floss (110 Den.) is a semitexturized thread with good tensile strength for building small fly bodies. It is suited to creating a smooth, even profile, making it useful on compact patterns where a neat body is preferred over a strongly pronounced texture. Supplied on a spool, it allows short lengths to be taken conveniently at the vise while tying small flies and finishing their body sections.
Construction and use
For the cleanest result, guide the thread flat along the shank and place the wraps close together. Keep the tension consistent to avoid gaps or sudden thickening in the body. Micro Floss is intended for small body work rather than for creating a heavily raised surface. Once the desired profile is formed, bind the end with tying thread before trimming the remaining material.
