Textreme Microchenille

Textreme Microchenille is a classic chenille with extremely short, sparse fibres held in a special core. It forms neat, slim bodies without an iridescent or glossy effect, making it suitable for flies with a restrained, natural appearance. The low fibre profile helps build small abdomens, bodies and fine segments without adding excessive bulk.

Construction and use

Expose a short section of the core before tying the material to the hook shank. Wrap Microchenille in close, adjacent turns, sweeping the short fibres back before each turn so they are not trapped beneath the following wrap. It can be carried from the bend towards the eye or used only over a selected part of the body. Once the desired section is covered, secure the chenille with thread and trim the remainder.
