Textreme Nylon Blend
Textreme Nylon Blend is a continuous carded material made from polyamide fibres blended with rainbow Angelina fibres. Fibres can be pulled from the card in small portions, making it easy to build a streamer body gradually and control its volume. Individual fibres also work in wings, tails or blended profiles with other synthetic hair materials.
Construction and use
Pull off a small portion, separate it with your fingers and secure it to the hook shank. For a body, the prepared fibres can be wrapped or layered while the profile is built progressively. Cutting the material with scissors also produces a fibrous dubbing material. Work with small amounts to retain open structure and wing movement.
- Streamer bodies Extract successive portions from the card and tie them to the shank without creating an overly dense profile.
- Wings and tails Arrange a small bundle, bind it firmly with thread and taper the tips to suit the fly.
- Dubbing Cut the material to the required length, then use it in a dubbing loop or directly on the thread.
- Blending Mix it with other fibres and adjust the proportions to the desired volume and movement.
