Textreme Phospho Fibers (150 Den.) Flat Tinsel
Textreme Phospho Fibers (150 Den.) is a flat Mylar strip coated with a special pigment that reacts to ultraviolet light. It can be exposed to sunlight or artificial UV light and remains visible and shiny in darkness for many hours after exposure. It creates a distinct accent in flies used in limited light.
Construction and use
The material suits flies fished deep in the water, including sabiki patterns and flies for night fishing. Use it as a strip in the body, wing or tail, on its own or alongside other fibres. Before use, expose the finished fly to a UV source and check the effect in darkness. Keep the flat strip untwisted while tying and cut it carefully to retain its shape.
