Textreme Wolly Chenille
Textreme Wolly Chenille is chenille made with sparse wool fibres combined with a transparent film. Its softer, less compact surface builds smaller, natural-looking bodies for nymphs, wet flies and streamers.
Construction and use
Expose a short section of the core, secure it to the hook shank and wind the material in adjacent turns. Sweep the fibres back before each turn to keep the body surface even and reduce trapped fibres. Match the number of wraps to the required body volume; on smaller flies, work carefully because the looser structure readily follows the shape beneath it. Secure the core at the finish and shape the fibres with scissors.
