Textreme X Type (90 Den.) Flat Metallic Tinsel
Textreme X Type (90 Den.) is flat metallic Mylar reinforced with a special double polyamide mono filament. This construction combines the broad reflective face of Mylar with added reinforcement, making the material suitable for controlled ribbing on small and extremely small flies. It can also be combined with other fibres when a pattern needs an extra touch of brilliance without replacing its main body material. When wrapping, keep the tinsel flat and maintain even tension. This prevents unintended twisting and keeps its surface clearly visible on the body.
Construction and use
X Type differs from rounded thread through its flat Mylar construction and double polyamide monofilament reinforcement. In practical tying it can form segmented bodies on small patterns or be incorporated into a group of fibres used in one fly. It is intended for work where compact proportions and a distinct metallic flash are important.
