Tiemco TMC 403 J BL Fly Hooks

Tiemco TMC 403 J BL is a barbless jig hook for bead-head nymphs. Its 60-degree vertical eye and wide gape suit nymphs fished close to the bottom, including patterns used for Czech-nymphing techniques.

Design and use

The jig-style shape allows a bead-head nymph to ride inverted, with the point facing upward. This orientation helps reduce contact with bottom obstacles during a near-bottom presentation. Medium wire provides a practical base for the body and added weight, while the wide gape leaves room for a fuller nymph dressing. The super-fine barbless point suits a neat, slim finish at the front of the pattern. The black-nickel finish gives the hook a dark surface.
