Tungsten BH Micro Pheasant Tail

Tungsten BH Micro Pheasant Tail is a small, modern version of the Pheasant Tail Nymph. Frank Sawyer developed the famous Pheasant Tail Nymph for the Hampshire Avon. This nymph imitates mayfly nymphs, while the tungsten bead gets it quickly down to the riverbed.

Fish it on a dead drift, on a short-line nymphing rig, under an indicator or as the heavier fly in a team. Sizes #18 and #20 are well suited to times when trout and grayling are taking smaller insects. Tied on a barbless hook.
