Uni Floss
UNI-Floss is a single-strand body floss made from 50% nylon and 50% rayon. It is strong and shiny, and its fine component threads settle together when wound to form a smooth fly body. This makes it suitable for salmon flies and for any pattern requiring a silk-like body surface. It can be wound over a complete body, used for tags and accents, or gathered into tufts such as those used on Red Tag-style patterns. The floss does not fray and lays neatly on the hook, helping the tyer keep body edges clean. During tying, control the tension and gently flatten the material with each wrap so the component threads merge into an even layer. The spool contains 15yds. UNI-Floss is therefore useful both for traditional body construction and for small decorative details.
