Uni French Oval MD (0.7 mm) is an oval metallic tinsel for medium-sized flies. The embossed profile gives a defined wrapped line, while the varnished surface is designed to avoid quick tarnishing and preserve its colour and shine. It can form a complete body or be used as a rib that separates body sections and adds a deliberate metallic accent. This size fits practical patterns such as Mallard and Red and Brown Bomber, and it can also be used on more elaborate full dressed flies including Green Highlander. MD is a useful middle scale when the large version would overpower the hook but a finer tinsel would lose definition.
