Uni Nylon 210 Flat Fly Tying Thread
Uni Nylon 210 Flat is a flat nylon tying thread for building medium and larger flies. Its flattened construction spreads across the hook shank, helping create controlled bodies and heads without unnecessary bulk. The thread is strong enough for work with stiff deer hair, including muddler-style deer-hair flies and other patterns that require firm compression. It can also be separated for the split-thread dubbing technique, allowing dubbing to be placed between the divided strands. Keep bobbin tension even while tying: excessive twist can reduce the flat profile, whereas steady handling helps the thread sit neatly and makes gradual tapers easier to shape.
Construction and use
Use this thread when a broad, durable tying material is useful for forming the fly and securing resistant materials. The white version provides a neutral base and can be coloured with a felt-tip pen when a different body shade is needed.
