Uni Poly II Fly Tying Thread

Uni Poly II is a 2-ply, twisted, unwaxed fly-tying thread intended for larger flies. Its two-ply construction can be opened so dubbing may be placed between the individual strands, then closed again by twisting the bobbin. This makes it suitable for forming dubbed bodies and other larger components without preparing a separate dubbing loop. While tying, pay attention to bobbin rotation: changing or excessive twist alters how the thread sits on the hook and how evenly the dubbing is distributed. A steady, deliberate twist helps keep the finished section under control.

Construction and use

Choose this thread for streamers, medium and large nymphs, and other larger patterns where a twisted tying material is useful. Because it is unwaxed, the tier can control the amount of twist and add the desired dubbing during the tying sequence.
