UTC Flashback Tinsel
Wapsi UTC Flashback Tinsel is flat tinsel with a stated width of 16 mm (1/16”), designed for flashback flies. Its flat profile can be laid over the back of a nymph body to create the characteristic bright panel, either between body sections or along the selected length. The stated width of 16 mm (1/16”) is part of this product’s specification. This material serves as a flashback and body-finishing element, not as ribbing wire or a weighting material. When tying, position it centrally over the top of the fly and keep it flat rather than twisted. Secure it before cutting with sharp scissors, leaving enough material for a reliable tie-in.

UTC Flashback Tinsel is primarily used in flashback nymph construction, where it forms a contrasting back panel.
