Veevus Holographic Tinsel
Veevus Holographic Tinsel is a holographic fly-tying tinsel for adding reflective colour and definition to artificial flies. Its surface produces a changing, multi-coloured effect that can make a body or selected detail more visually distinct. The material is especially useful for segmenting fly bodies, while also serving as a bright accent where the pattern calls for flash. It is available in three sizes, allowing the tier to match the tinsel scale to the hook and the proportions of the fly.
Construction and use
Wind the holographic tinsel over an even thread base or another smooth underbody. For body segmentation, place the turns at consistent intervals so the pattern remains clear and the surface can reflect light cleanly. Select one of the three sizes according to the fly’s proportions, then keep the tension moderate and steady while wrapping. Bind the material securely with thread before trimming the tag end.
