W Buggers White

W Buggers White is a light-coloured Bugger-style streamer for actively searching the water beneath the surface. The white version provides clear contrast in coloured water and low light. It is worth trying for trout over lake drop-offs, at the mouths of tributaries and wherever fish patrol beneath the surface.

Retrieve the fly with short, energetic strips and pauses; when the fish are feeding more slowly, slow the retrieve and lengthen the pauses. In a river, fish it across the current or along an undercut bank. The hook is barbless.
