Wapsi Camel Dubbing
Wapsi Camel Dubbing is made from very fine underfur with an unusual combination of a smooth feel and extremely kinky fibres. It dubs fast and easily, yet stays on the thread well enough to build a clean, controlled body. That makes this series particularly useful on small flies, where excess material quickly changes the profile and neat transitions matter. It is a practical choice whenever you need a fine, compact dubbing rather than a deliberately shaggy finish.
Construction and use
Use it for small nymphs, dry flies, wet flies and other delicate patterns that call for a smooth body. The fine fibres allow precise dosing, while their kink helps the dubbing grip the thread. Take only a small pinch, work it between your fingers, and apply it to waxed thread. Building the body in short sections gives better control than adding one large amount and helps maintain a slim, even taper.
