Wapsi Fl. Nylon Chenille
Wapsi Fl. Nylon Chenille is nylon chenille in a fluorescent colour family. It builds a distinct, full body and can be used for saltwater flies and streamers. Fluorescent describes the colour response in light. The chenille is wound directly onto a prepared hook shank.
Construction and use
Secure the core with a short section exposed beyond the tie-in point, then hold it in place with thread. Wind successive turns adjacent to one another, keeping even tension and sweeping the fibres clear of the thread path. Body density can be adjusted by changing the spacing between turns; secure and cut the material at the head. In saltwater flies it can form the complete body, while in streamers it can build the rear or middle section.
