Wapsi Gadwall Barred Flank
Wapsi Gadwall Barred Flank consists of loose gadwall flank feathers with a distinct transverse barring. They are larger and somewhat darker than teal flank feathers, providing a stronger pattern on broader fly components. Each package contains 12 feathers.
Construction and use
The long, fine fibres lay neatly when wrapped into collars on spey flies. They form a slim, even element around the hook, while the natural bars add contrast. The feathers are also useful for other barred components on spey patterns. Supplied loose, they allow the tier to select pieces with the best shape and match the width to the fly being tied.
