Wapsi Glow-In-Dark Accent

Wapsi Glow-In-Dark Accent is a Flashabou strand material with a phosphorescent effect. After exposure to light, the strands release the stored energy as a visible glow, helping selected fly details remain noticeable in low light or darkness. It is an accent material intended for small amounts rather than for filling an entire profile. The flat reflective strands can be cut to length and secured on the hook shank for use in a tail, wing, lateral detail or contrasting spot.

Construction and use

Charge the material with a suitable light source before tying. Cut a few strands, align them and secure them with firm thread wraps; an oversized bundle can stiffen the wing and reduce movement. Place the accent in the tail, over the wing, along the side or as a single contrast point. Once tied in, trim the ends to match the streamer profile and protect the tie-in with a neat thread finish.
