Wapsi Grizzly Matuka Soft Hackle
Wapsi Grizzly Matuka Soft Hackle consists of loose feathers with the familiar grizzly barred colour pattern. The soft, dense fibres move readily in water and give the finished fly a lively, pulsing profile. Use the material for larger trout, bass and saltwater flies when a mobile soft hackle is required.
Construction and use
These feathers are suited to soft hackling, Matuka patterns and pectoral-fin imitations. Their flexible fibres settle naturally around the fly and move with the current or retrieve. Select individual feathers by the width and fibre length required for the pattern. Apply controlled, moderate tension while wrapping to preserve the feather’s soft, dense profile.
