Wapsi Holographic Mylar Cord Small

Wapsi Holographic Mylar Cord Small is hollow braided tubing for reflective fly bodies. Its holographic finish produces small, multicoloured points of reflected light that change as the material moves and the viewing angle shifts. Cord Small suits slim baitfish imitations, streamers and other patterns that call for a compact, bright body profile.

Construction and use

Select the size by the diameter of the prepared underbody and the profile you want to build. Slip the cord over a smooth underbody, leaving enough material beyond both tie-in points. Stretching narrows and lengthens the braid, while compression widens it; the underbody supplies the finished shape. Tie it in securely at both ends and bind the cut ends to prevent fraying. The material can form a slender streamer body or a flashing baitfish imitation while keeping the underbody’s contours visible through the finished construction.
