Wapsi Micro Mink Zonkers

Wapsi Micro Mink Zonkers are narrow micro-cut strips of hide with mink hair attached. The format is intended for small flies, where the strip can form a mobile streamer wing, tail, or back on a compact zonker pattern.

Construction and use

Before tying, part the fibres from the hide edge and trim the strip end on a slant to reduce bulk at the tie-in point. Run the strip lengthwise along the shank as a wing, tail or back and secure the hide at carefully chosen points.

• Material: mink hide with attached, soft hair.
• Cut: Micro, a narrow strip for small fly constructions.
• Movement: the hair remains mobile during the retrieve.
