Wapsi Mylar Cord Large

Wapsi Mylar Cord Large is hollow braided reflective tubing for larger fly bodies and baitfish imitations. Its metallic surface gives the braid a clear flash and a changing reflection across its faceted construction. The Large size builds a fuller profile over a suitably prepared underbody, making it useful for large streamers and baitfish patterns.

Construction and use

Choose the cord according to the underbody diameter and the finished body width you want. Prepare a smooth, even underbody, slide the cord over it and leave enough material beyond the front and rear tie-in points. Stretching narrows and lengthens the braid; compression widens it, so the underbody determines the final profile. Secure the cord at both ends, trim the excess and bind the cut ends against fraying. Mylar Cord Large also forms bright streamer bodies and structured baitfish imitations while following the shape of the underbody.
