Wapsi Pearl Chenille Micro

Wapsi Pearl Chenille Micro is chenille with a fine construction, intended for winding on the hook shank of slimmer flies and smaller body sections. Its pearl surface reflects light with an iridescent appearance, while the compact construction helps form an even body without adding excessive bulk.

Construction and use

Expose a short section of the core at the end and tie it securely to the shank. Wind the material in close turns with steady tension, sweeping fibres back before each turn so they do not become trapped beneath the chenille. The Micro version is suited to small bodies, segments and streamer details where a more restrained profile is needed.
