Wapsi Pearl Chenille Small

Wapsi Pearl Chenille Small is a strong, dense chenille built on a core for building fly and streamer bodies. Wound along the hook shank, it forms a compact, defined profile, while the pearl finish gives the surface an iridescent reflection. It can be used for a complete body or for a selected body section.

Construction and use

To begin, expose a short part of the chenille core at the end and secure it firmly. Wind the material in adjacent turns with even tension. Sweeping the fibres back before each turn helps produce a clean surface without trapping them under the wraps. The Small version suits smaller and medium-sized patterns when a fuller body is wanted than with the Micro version.
