Wapsi Round Rubber - Medium

Wapsi Round Rubber - Medium is round-section rubber in a medium size for legs, feelers and tails on flies. The elastic strands can be separated into individual lengths or used in small bundles, while the round profile keeps a clear, even shape after tying. It is suited to terrestrial patterns, poppers and warmwater flies.

Construction and use

Cut a length with a little allowance and tie it in at the centre or by one end, depending on the number of legs required. Separate the rubber into the desired strands before making firm wraps; broad, moderate thread pressure holds the material without cutting into its surface. After securing it, even the ends and trim them to the intended length. Several strands can form mobile legs, feelers or a tail, while single sections work for simpler constructions.
