Wapsi Sili Legs

Wapsi Sili Legs consists of silicone skirt tabs prepared as strands for legs, feelers, tails and mobile accents on freshwater and saltwater flies. Each tab contains 23 strands, and the approximately 5.5-inch length allows the tier to trim each element to the pattern or leave longer ends where more movement is required.

Construction and use

Separate the number of strands needed and tie them in at the centre, by the root or individually, according to the fly design. Use broad, moderately firm thread wraps; excessive pressure can cut into silicone. The strands may be aligned before tying, divided after securing and trimmed with scissors. Choose the colour variant for the intended role, and keep the free ends clear when applying finish so they retain their movement.
