Wapsi Sili Legs Barred

Wapsi Sili Legs Barred are silicone tabs carrying prepared leg strands with a contrasting barred pattern. The elastic strands can be used as legs, feelers, tails or mobile accents on freshwater and saltwater flies. Each strand is approximately 5.5 inches, or 14 cm, long.

Construction and use

Before tying, separate the required number of strands from the tab or cut a small group with sharp scissors. Tie them in at the middle or near one end according to the intended position, then spread the strands along the sides of the fly. Use several moderate thread wraps rather than a hard pinch, so the silicone is not cut. The bars may be aligned across the legs or turned to follow the fly’s profile.
