Wapsi Sili Legs Fire Tip

Wapsi Sili Legs Fire Tip are silicone tabs with prepared leg strands and a Fire Tip finish, giving the strand ends a contrasting treatment. Use them for legs, feelers, tails or short side accents on flies. Each strand is approximately 5.5 inches, or 14 cm, long, allowing it to be trimmed for small or larger patterns.

Construction and use

Separate individual strands or a small group and cut them to length before tying. Tying at the middle creates a pair of similarly sized legs; securing the material near one end suits a tail or feelers. Spread the thread wraps over a wider area and avoid a hard pinch so the silicone remains intact. Position the Fire Tip ends outward where they remain visible after the head is finished.
