Wapsi Sili Legs Nymph
Wapsi Sili Legs Nymph consists of silicone skirt tabs prepared as strands for legs, feelers, tails and other mobile accents on nymph patterns. Each pack contains five bands of 23 strands, with each strand approximately 5.5 inches (14 cm) long. Strands may be split individually or kept in a narrower bundle to suit the proportions of the fly.
Construction and use
Separate the strands, trim them to length and tie them to the hook shank through the middle or at one end. Use loose thread wraps when you want the material to retain movement, then add firmer wraps to lock it in place without cutting into the silicone. For legs, split the strands before finishing the head; trim the ends after tying so both sides can be matched. Family variants include barred and solid patterns, allowing the visual treatment to be selected for the particular fly design.
