Wapsi Silicone Fly Tail Large is a ready-made flexible silicone curly tail for larger flies and streamers. Each component has a narrow tying root and a wider curled working section that extends behind the fly. It is tied in as a finished component rather than cut from sheet material or assembled from loose strands.

Construction and use

Place the narrow root at the rear of the body or hook shank and secure it with several loose thread wraps. Increase pressure gradually until the tail stays aligned; excessive tension can distort the soft root. Check the length and position on the completed underbody before applying any finishing adhesive. Family variants include solid and mixed treatments, including versions with pearl, silver or flake accents, so select the visual treatment to match the intended fly pattern.
