Wapsi SLF Enhancer

Wapsi SLF Enhancer is pure SLF in short fibres, intended mainly as an additive for other dubbings. It is not a replacement for the base material; instead, it changes the character of an existing blend by adding the distinctive, lively sparkle of SLF. The pure, unblended colours make it easy to create your own combinations and adjust the result to a particular pattern.

Construction and use

The short fibres blend readily with almost any dubbing, making this a practical way to modify nymph, wet-fly, streamer and other bodies. Mix a small amount into the base before putting the blend on the thread, or distribute both materials on the thread and twist them together. Because the fibres are short, they can add sparkle without completely taking over the original body texture. Start sparingly and add more only if the visual effect needs strengthening.

• Function: an additive that enhances an existing dubbing with sparkle.
• Applications: nymphs, wet flies, streamers and other fly bodies.
• Handling tip: blend a small portion thoroughly with the base dubbing before applying it to the thread.
