Wapsi Squirrel Tail
Wapsi Squirrel Tail consists of naturally barred squirrel-tail hair. The fine, soft and mobile fibres are used for wings and tails, particularly on streamers and patterns that call for a clear contrasting bar pattern.
Construction and use
Before tying, align the tips and remove loose underfur from the selected bundle. The material can be secured on the shank as a wing or tail; a controlled thread base helps preserve the natural movement of the fibres. The barring remains visible in small, slender fly elements.
- Material: soft, mobile hair from a squirrel tail.
