Wapsi Super Fine Dry Fly Dubbing
Wapsi Super Fine Dry Fly Dubbing is an exceptionally fine synthetic material for slim, lightweight dry-fly bodies. Its fine fibre structure makes it possible to keep the proportions of very small patterns, while the permanent water resistance helps the finished body remain suited to dry-fly work. This series is intended for delicate insect imitations where a conventional dubbing would create too much bulk.
Construction and use
Use it for tiny dry flies, including patterns tied on hooks down to size 28. The colour selection is matched to insects found in mountain streams, making the material useful when you want to follow a local hatch. Apply only a tiny pinch to the thread and spread it into a thin layer; the fine fibres give close control over body diameter instead of producing a heavy, oversized shape.
- Material: synthetic dubbing for dry flies.
- Fibre: extremely fine 1.2-denier fibre.
- Staple length: 1.5 inches.
