Wapsi Ultra Chenille Micro

Wapsi Ultra Chenille Micro is a very compact chenille with an even surface for smaller, slimmer fly bodies. It builds a body quickly when wound on the hook shank, making it suitable for small nymphs, compact streamers and patterns where a restrained profile is required.

Construction and use

Prepare the material by parting the fibres over a short section to expose its core. Tie in that section on the hook shank, then wind the chenille in adjacent turns without overlapping the previous wrap. Micro builds a finer body than the Standard and Medium versions. Secure the final section with thread before trimming to keep the body end neat and controlled.
