Wapsi Ultra Chenille Standard

Wapsi Ultra Chenille Standard is a compact chenille with an even surface for nymph, streamer and a wide range of classic fly bodies. Standard provides a versatile profile between the finer Micro version and the broader Medium version, allowing the body size to be matched to the hook and pattern.

Construction and use

Before tying it in, part the fibres at the end to expose a short section of the core. Secure the core to the hook shank, then wind the chenille in adjacent turns while maintaining an even body shape. It works for straightforward bodies, segmented forms and streamer patterns. At the end, bind down the core with thread and trim away the excess.
