Wapsi Unique Hair

Wapsi Unique Hair consists of 11-inch fine, soft, crinkled nylon fibres. Finer than Supreme Hair, it forms lighter bundles and moves readily in a streamer wing. The material is loose, so small portions can be selected, combined with additional fibre layers, tapered at the tips, and trimmed into a controlled profile without making the fly unnecessarily heavy.

Construction and use

Separate a small bundle, align the tie-in area, and secure it with several firm thread wraps. The fine crinkled fibres are well suited to building a wing gradually: begin with a modest portion, check the volume, and add another layer only when needed. Trim the ends with scissors to create a smooth transition into a tail or baitfish silhouette.
