Wapsi Variegated Chenille Medium

Wapsi Variegated Chenille Medium is chenille for winding, with a colour pattern that changes or breaks along the material. The Medium version builds a fuller body and creates a changing appearance without adding separate pieces of thread or body material. It suits nymphs, streamers and flies with a clearly defined torso.

Construction and use

Part the fibres over a short section to expose the core, then tie that section to the hook shank. Wind the chenille in adjacent turns, occasionally checking how the colour transitions sit along the body. Avoid excessive tension so the surface remains even. Secure the final section with thread and trim it after completing the wraps.
