Wapsi Variegated Tinsel Chenille Medium is a medium chenille incorporating shiny tinsel, with a broken or changing colour pattern along its length. It combines a fuller chenille body with a reflective tinsel accent, making it suitable for nymph and streamer bodies where a changing surface pattern and visible flash are required.

Construction and use

Begin by parting the fibres to expose a short section of the core, then tie it securely to the hook shank. Wind the material in adjacent turns, keeping the wraps even while controlling the position of the tinsel and colour transitions. At the finish, expose the core again, bind it down with thread and trim the excess. It can also be used for short body segments when the pattern calls for them.
