Wapsi Wooly Bugger Marabou
Wapsi Wooly Bugger Marabou is soft, fuzzy marabou intended primarily for tails on Woolly Bugger flies. Its loose fibres gather easily into a bundle and pulse when submerged and retrieved, giving the tail pronounced movement. The material also suits any fly that needs a soft, mobile tail element or a lively streamer accent. Marabou provides volume, lightness and active fibre movement, making it a natural choice for patterns with a full, animated tail.
Construction and use
Select a bundle with the volume required for the planned tail and even its butt section before tying it in. Freely arranged fibres retain their pulsing action in the water and create a soft silhouette. These delicate feathers benefit from protection against compression during storage and transport. Natural variation in fibre arrangement gives individual bundles their own appearance when selected for a fly.
