Taimen Light Polyleader 7.5 ft (10 lb)
Taimen Polyleaders 7.5FT -(10lb) Light is a 7.5 ft fly-line extension with a Light, 10 lb designation. It is made from material also used for fly lines and is designed to create a controlled transition between the line and the final leader section, helping the cast turn over smoothly and supporting accurate fly presentation.
The Polyleader attaches to a looped fly line with a loop-to-loop connection. A suitable length of tippet is then tied to its fine end before the fly is added. This arrangement makes it straightforward to alter the behaviour of the terminal section without replacing the complete fly line, giving a conventional line some of the practical flexibility of a multi-tip system.
Choose the required buoyancy or sink class in the product selector. The appropriate option depends on the target depth, current speed and the way the fly needs to be presented. The 10 lb designation should also be considered when matching the Polyleader with the tippet, fly size and the rest of the tackle.
