Taimen River Dry Fly Line WF-F Yellow/Olive

Taimen River Dry Fly WF-F Yellow/Olive is a fully floating, weight-forward fly line designed for presenting dry flies at medium and longer range. Its two-colour layout has a practical purpose on the water: the 1.5 m olive tip provides a more visually subdued section close to the fly, while the yellow main section remains easy for the angler to follow. This helps with tracking the line and monitoring the drift, particularly when the fly is fishing farther from the angler.

Profile and fishing use

The WF profile places more of the casting mass towards the head. In practical terms, this supports rod loading and helps carry the line through medium and longer casts. The entire fly line remains on the surface, making it suited to dry-fly presentation. Its yellow section assists with judging the line’s position, while the olive end of the head reduces the amount of bright colour immediately beside the leader and fly.

• Profile: floating WF line for dry-fly fishing
• Length: 30 m
• Colour: yellow with a 1.5 m olive tip
• Construction: braided multifilament nylon core with a PVC coating
• Family range: line weights #3 to #7, low stiffness

This line is intended for river and stillwater fishing where casting range and clear control of the presentation both matter. The visible yellow section makes it easier to assess the line’s position on the water, while the more restrained section beside the fly supports a less conspicuous presentation. Its low stiffness gives the line a relatively supple character when handled.
